I didn’t set out to become a caregiving truth-teller, but life handed me that role.

Years ago, in the span of a single phone call, my life was turned upside down. My husband, a career military man, had been critically injured in an explosion. One moment, I was looking forward to game night. The next, I was sitting at his bedside, facing an uncertain future wondering if he would live, how we would rebuild our lives, and whether I had the strength to walk this brutal new path.

In those first 72 hours, I realized something that would shape everything going forward: resilience isn’t something we’re born with, it’s built. One hard moment, one honest truth, one step at a time.

That experience taught me the power of radical honesty and connection, lessons I now share through Caregiver Candor , a place for new and veteran caregivers to get the support and resources they need so they don’t lose themselves while caring for someone else.

Because here’s what I know: If you are a caregiver, most of us have faced life-altering changes and yet, too often, we’re told to put on a brave face, to stay “fine,” and do whatever needs to be done.

I believe it’s time to rewrite that story. It’s time to speak our truth, to own our experiences, and to empower each other to live boldly and unapologetically in this season.

Today, I help caregivers rediscover their voice, reclaim their power, and rewrite the stories that no longer serve them. I share the real unpolished reality of what we face day in and day out because it’s in those unfiltered moments that true growth and connection happen.

If you’re ready to stop settling for “fine”, stop living empty and start reclaiming your life — welcome. You belong here.

My Caregiving Candor Promise

Whatever challenge you are trying to navigate, I'll meet you exactly where you are with practical strategies and permission to prioritize your own happiness.

My approach combines:

  • Emotional resilience training that actually works in real life

  • Stress management techniques designed for overwhelmed women

  • Practical strategies you can implement today, not someday

  • Guilt-free permission to prioritize yourself

  • Truth-telling that cuts through the "I should be grateful" nonsense

My motto guides everything I do: "STOP LIVING EMPTY." Real transformation happens when we stop merely surviving and start intentionally creating the life we desire.
